Miracle!!

We are excited to let you all know that we are expecting a miracle November 5, 2011. God has blessed us with a baby on the way. More details to come.

Good Friday

We had an amazing church service tonight. At the end of the service, we were to write down something we wanted to leave at the cross. It didn't take me long to put down the dreaded word: infertility. I asked Kendra if she had a prayer request. Yes, "fear" Mama. So I wrote it down for her with her name on it. (She insisted on having her name on it.) It was such an amazing experience to be able to take Kendra to the alter with our requests in hand. She is such an encouragement to me in my walk with Jesus.

Poke Poke

I had to have blood work done today. They checked kidney and liver functions, hemoglobin, fasting blood sugar, and a pregnancy test. The pregnancy test was to be sure I wasn't pregnant before I start my new meds. The two hour fast was hard. Thankfully my neighbor watched Kendra while I stayed at the lab for two hours. I ate lunch at 1:30....ate dinner last night at 6:00. I need to call the test line and see if they have the results on there. Thanks for your prayers.

Infertility update

I would like you to pray for us. I have an appointment on Wednesday with the infertility Nurse Practitioner. Another MD suggested that I try Metphormine. (sp) It is a diabetic medication that has been known to help regulate cycles and help with weight loss. Pray as we don't want to do injections and my prior MD said this was the next step. Daniel and I will not be doing injections, so this is my only hope. I know that God can do a miracle without meds, so you can pray for that too. It is hard to know when to stop with MD's and meds and let God be God....yet He gave us MD's....you get what I mean. Thanks for your prayers.

Nope

Today is day 35 and so I took a test...not pregnant. So not sure where we go from here. It is late and I need to get to bed because I have MOPS at 8:30. More later.

Headache!

Last night Kendra woke up during the night coughing. I went to check on her and she had wet teh bed! Turkey....I don't know why! I am sure glad that I spent the $15.97 at Walmart for a waterproff mattress pad!!!! She went right back to sleep...but I didn't.

I went to Curves and came home with a headache. I thought I just needed to eat, it helped, but didn't do the trick. I called the nurse...it is my meds. Tonight is the last dose, so that should help. I find out on Friday if the medication help grow a follicle.

Kendra and I worked on a few preschool books and puzzles today. I am going to try and be better about taking time to sit down with her. I was so proud of her today. She put herself on the toilet without my prompting or help and was playing with her bathtub ABC's. She told me, "Mama, I need a "C" to spell C-A-T. Wowie! I had no idea she could spell! We then tried to spell her name....too tricky.

Tonight Debbie and I went to Olive Garden for dinner. It was lovely and peaceful. I think Debbie and I will "run away from home" (as she put it.) more often.

Bummer

I got my period last night. So I see the infertility MD on Thursday and we start over again. I appreciate your prayers as we seek to grow our family.

Kendra and I had our first MOPS meeting of the year. I had so much to bring for friends and my group, that I brought my suitcase on wheels! People thought I was crazy, but it made life alot easier. I did the website for our MOPS group. Check it out here.

After MOPS, we met Seth and Jennifer for lunch. It was great to hang out with them. Kendra had fun showing Uncle Seth the dinosaur playland.

I mowed/baled the lawn tonight. I like good hard work when I have my period for some weird reason. After I was finished mowing, I was super hungry so Kendra and I went to Tastee Freeze. We had to finish eating in the car, because the mosquito's came out! They always go for Kendra's eyes! She has one bite on her cheek and another on her eye.

Kendra's Prayer Request

You can pray along with Kendra that Jesus will put a baby sister in mom's tummy. My medication did what it was supposed to do and we did what we were supposed to do. Now we wait. :)

It Worked!

This morning I had an ultrasound to see if the Rx helped my eggs grow. Indeed it did!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!! Soon my neighbor (who is a NICU nurse) will give me a shot in the arm to bring on ovulation. Then you know what comes next. Then we wait. So today is a good day.

Pray for Debbie's father-in-law Stan. He was about to have gall stone surgery this morning and had a cardiac arrest.

150 MG

Today I saw the MD to see if the Clomid worked to stimulate my ovaries. No such luck. They put me on a higher dose (150mg) this time. I will see the MD next Tuesday to see if this worked. We appreciate your prayers.

Kendra and I had dinner with Carmelle and Nathaniel tonight. We went to Pizza Hut and they had someone new in the kitchen...we got a free pizza out of the deal. You can pray for Carmelle as her mother passing has been very hard.

A Sister

Today Kendra informed me that she wants a sister. She prayed for this at her bedtime too.

I had an ultrasound done today to make sure my ovaries and all were ok. Tomorrow I will start Clomid. It is a drug that will make my eggs grow. Next week I will give myself a shot to stimulate ovulation. All of this because of the PCOS. I am encouraged by my MD that this will work. We were able to have Kendra because of Clomid too. At that time, they didn't diagnose me with PCOS. We appreciate your prayers for this too. :)

My friend Becky is scheduled for a c-section tomorrow for her twin girls. Pray for a safe delivery.

My friend's mom that we have been praying for is still with us. She is stable and comfortable. My friend has returned home. Pray for good rest for all and God's peace.

Debbie

Today Debbie came over and brought me some lilies to plant. She also told me that she was pregnant!!!!! This will be baby #4.

Kendra and I ate dinner with Daniel tonight. Kendra had fun drawing on the white board. She made a "K". It really looked like on too. Later this evening, a co-worker's son came over for one hour while his dad went to work and his mom had a meeting. Kendra had fun pulling him in the wagon.

Tonight Kendra prayed that God would put a baby in mama's tummy. Sweet girl. :)
