Busy busy day today. I helped my friend Jess with her garage sale. She is an amazing woman! She has eight kids and did a garage sale!!! You go girl! I found some great clothes for Kendra too.
We met Chaycie and her girls at the park and had lunch. Kendra has had a hard time getting along with her daughter. I have been praying about it and telling Kendra she needs to do the same. When we pulled into the park, she asked us to pray. Praise the LORD they had a great time.
We had to go to Target. Ruthie graduates this weekend and we needed to get her a gift. We found her two sets of towels for her dorm room. One set was a lime green and the other was lime green with a John Deere green stripe. Of course, Ruthie noticed they were John Deere colors right away! We found Emily her birthday gift for next week too. She wanted a Hello Kitty umbrella and we did find one. They had tons of fun Hello Kitty things in the dollar section, so Kendra went wild and our gift was complete. I had a coupon for $.50 off in the Target Cafe, so Kendra and I shared a slurpee. Seriously, we had to stop twice to go potty. I think next time I will drink more!
We came home and changed clothes just in time to go to Ruthie's open house. The highway is under major road construction, so we took back roads...even gravel. We had a lovely Chinese dinner and Renate's specialties for dessert. I did really well and didn't cry too much when we left Ruthie. She has become just like a member of our family. She stayed here this winter when the roads were bad or just because. She is going to Northwestern Bible School in the fall. We will miss making smoothies with her.
Our baby birds flew out of the nest today. I was able to get the last one on video. The poor little birdie was scared and didn't want to fly. It finally gave in and did fly. It stopped in our neighbors yard and Heidi was onto that. She was pointing and ready to go and eat that poor little birdie. I firmly called her and she came inside with me. Good girl Heidi.
Kendra wanted badly to do "stickers" tonight. I was wiped out, but we did. She likes to put them on a full sheet of paper and it drives me crazy because you can't fold it to put it in an envelope. I folded a bunch of paper for her and together we made a bunch of cards.
When we were having snuggle time tonight we had Go Fish music on like we do every night. We were tracing numbers and alphabets on each others backs. She hushed me and said, "here comes my favorite part." "That part rocks for me." That's my girl rocking for Jesus!
