Pear Tomato Salsa

I went to my friend Lisa's house today and we put up four pints of pear tomato salsa. We also cut and froze a lug of peaches. We had 24 cups of peaches when we were finished. Wow. I have a lot more respect for my mom and grandma who canned until the cows came home and then some.

Garden Harvest

Kendra and I picked 17 tomatoes today. I am very thankful they are pear tomatoes and not big ones. Daniel and Kendra love them. I tolerate them on a BLT sandwich.

Better Than Nothing

Tonight I pulled weeds and turned the soil where Kendra's sandbox used to be. I am going to plant a few tomatoes and some spinach. It won't be much, but it is better than nothing. I know that Kendra will love the tomatoes. I am going to try and find pear tomatoes for her. We had them last year and she gobbled them up. I found it very therapeutic to dig in the dirt. We can get the rest of our veggies from the Farmer's Market.
